Hello, I'm a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who helps adults overcome the negative effects of stressful or traumatic life experiences. I specialize in upsetting events, trauma, anxiety and relationship and marital issues. I have over 20 years of experience helping people heal from: depression, anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, social anxiety disorder, post-traumatic Stress disorder) complex PTSD (C-PTSD), traumatic stress, abuse, divorce, and self-esteem matters.
My goal is to work collaboratively with you to help you achieve your goals. The collaborative process is about participating in conversations that open up possibilities, new meanings, and ideas to help you find your own ways forward when advice is not enough. In addition, I'll share ideas, strategies, evidenced-based techniques, and teach you practical tools that you’ll find helpful.
My career experience includes work in a variety of settings from clinical outpatient, working with adults, children, and families, inpatient behavioral health, managed care, and medical hospital. I also have expertise in narcissism, pathological relationship dynamics, and narcissistic abuse in all forms and in all types of relationships.
I'm Licensed in Texas, California & Idaho, and I'm able to see clients for psychotherapy in these states.
I use an integrative combination of brain and body-based methods which include Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Trauma-informed, Mindfulness Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Narrative Therapy that research has shown to be effective.
I focus on helping individuals and couples build a repertoire of strategies to manage their distressful symptoms, identify learned patterns, unhelpful ways of thinking, rewire their brains, reprocess trauma, and access their strengths and use them as leverage to work through their upsetting events, fears, anxiety, and blindspots.
Through our work together, my clients gain deeper insight and awareness, so they can get ‘unstuck’, and lead happier and intentioned lives, and build deeper and more fulfilling connections.
