About Bree Bonchay LCSW

I’m a dedicated psychotherapist with a profound specialization in helping individuals overcome narcissistic abuse, relational trauma, Complex PTSD, and anxiety disorders, so they can live happier, more fulfilling lives. 

My journey in this field has been shaped by both personal experience and a relentless commitment to helping others on their path to recovery.

My own experience with narcissistic abuse propelled me towards this mission many years ago. The depth of understanding I gained through my own healing process ignited a passion within me to support and guide others who have faced similar challenges. 

Over the past decade, I've been at the forefront of raising awareness about narcissistic abuse. I founded World Narcissistic Awareness Day (WNAAD) in 2016, to raise awareness and shed light on the complexities of this issue, and to provide a platform for education, advocacy, and healing, I also founded and hosted the first global summit on the topic of narcissistic abuse recovery in 2016, which has evolved into an annual event.

I serve on the board of Association for NPD/Psychopathy Survivor Treatment, Research & Education which exists to: 

• provide professionals with a field theory related to survivors of NPD and psychopathic relationships
• develop a national Model of Care clinical treatment approach
• encourage continuing research on survivors, and related impact
• establish educational approaches for outreach to survivors of NPD relationships

 My practice is informed by the latest trauma-informed approaches and therapeutic techniques. I ensure that my clients receive the most effective support. My primary goal is to offer a safe and compassionate, space where my clients can experience the therapeutic process with confidence, and ultimately live happier and more fulfilling lives.
